We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer - Logistics Foundation (f/m/d) to join our Logistics Foundation team to help us create a fast, reliable and transparent delivery experience. You will be developing services and algorithms that connect riders and vendors to millions of customers everyday. Your mission:
- Extend and improve our globally distributed infrastructure
- Collect and analyze metrics relating to system performance
- Troubleshoot and address infrastructure issues
- An “automation-first” mindset
- Maintain and improve existing build and deployment processes across all teams
- You will be part of our on-call team to handle our platform
- The desire to contribute to open source projects
- Promote “you build it, you run it” ethos
Your heroic skills:
- Proven experience with cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Strong knowledge in containers and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes and Helm
- Good knowledge of monitoring/troubleshooting. Most importantly the ability to address an issue, and trace it back to a root cause
- Good knowledge of infrastructure as code and their underlying toolsets like Terraform
- Engage in incident handling, especially support a culture of post mortem and knowledge sharing
- Self directed learner and worker
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to high availability systems and disaster recovery strategies
- PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis optimization knowledge
- Prometheus ecosystem experience
- Knowledge of drone.io and Spinnaker
