PayPal acquires the Israeli CURV
Global PayPal has approved earlier this week the reports on acquiring CURV - which has developed a platform to manage Cryptocurrency in the cloud, and which enables liquidity but puts emphasis on security and preventing cyber attacks. The deal price was not officially delivered, although the valuation is around $200M. The company was founded in 2018 only as part of team8 - and it is the third exit that comes out of that group.
YL Ventures has sold part of its holdings in Axonius
The Israeli VC YL Ventures has sold part of its holding on the cyber security startup Axonius, which has raised $100M with the valuation of $1.2B only one week earlier. The holdings were sold for $270M, compared to the YL Ventures investment of $25M in the company. Axonius was founded in 2017. YL Ventures invested $3M in its seed round, and kept on investing in every round ever since.
Transparent earbuds: Carl Pei’s new startup reveals its first product
Carl Pei, Former Co-Founder of OnePlus, which left the company in the previous October, has revealed the first product of its brand new Startup Nothing: transparent earbuds, which are called Concept 1. To provide unique technology, Thomas Howard - Vice Head of Design at Nothing - has said: “A transparent outer shell seemed obvious—removing the superficial decisions that designers make about color and branding. It frees us up to think about what’s really important, which is the engineering.”
